Positively Published Packages are designed to make the editorial, production, marketing, sales and distribution processes easily manageable for the author. You choose your publishing course of action!
1. Positively E Books: Shore publications uploads your edited book pdf and pre-designed cover to the printer, releases the book, handles sales and distribution.
50% royalties are paid to the author. $295.
2. Positively Economical Package: You send in a pdf of your edited and formatted manuscript to our specifications. You send a pdf of the cover designed to our specifications, you promote the book. Shore Publications scans and reviews your pdfs, uploads them to the printer, reviews the print proof, releases the title, handles print on demand orders to the large distributors, and pays you a 50% royalty on POD sales. $395.
You may also order books at a discounted rate to resell at events, etc.
3. For the Self Publisher: Layout and design - You send the publisher through e mail, your professionally edited text. This must be a continuous Word document with notes about where images are to be placed. Please do not add lines between chapters or extra spaces throughout the document.
Send image captions in separately in another Word file. Number each caption coinciding with the picture numbers.
Send photos and/or illustrations through mail on a DVD or Scan Disk at 300dpi, greyscale, TIFFS. Please size them to 5 x 7.
Book sizes will be discussed before production. Publisher handles printing production and gets the book listed through the book distributors (Ingram, Baker & Taylor) who wholesale to retailers and libraries. The book will also be for sale online at www.amazon.com. A link is provided so you can sell the book from your web site, through Amazon. They take care of fulfillment. Monthly royalties are paid at 50% on these sales. The royalties begin 90 days after publication. If a book does not earn over $10.00 in a month, the royalty will be added to the next month. You buy books from publisher at price which is given at production. First order must be 100 books or more. Orders are prepaid. It normally takes 2 weeks for the books to arrive at your address. Author handles marketing and independent sales. Books under 70,000 words $795. Over 70,00 words $995.
4. Positively Professional Package: Send your manuscript in edited by a professional. We will lay out the interior pages, create a cover, assign an ISBN# (if needed), create galleys, upload to the printer, review the print proof, release the book, market according to the plan laid out with the author, handle sales and POD distribution, and apply for copyright.
Under 70,000 words $2995. Over 70,000 words $3,995.
You earn a 50% royalty on POD sales and may order books for resell at a discounted rate.
5. Totally Positive Package: Shore Publications reviews your manuscript, has it edited by a professional, designs a cover, formats the interior pages, assigns an ISBN#, applies for copyright and CIP (Library of Congress) in your name, creates book galleys, uploads to the printer, approves or disapproves the printer's print proof, releases the book, and sets forth a marketing plan that was previously created with the author. The author receives 10 free copies and a 50% royalty on sales. You can buy the book at a discounted rate to resell at events, etc.
Cost to author: Under 70,000 words $4995.; over 70,000 words $5995.
